When does he apologize for being a lying asshole?

.
It would appear Pat Robertson has stepped on his dick yet again with his call for the assassination of Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez.

Much like Pat's attempts to distance himself from fellow religious whackjob Jerry Falwell in the wake of their post-9/11 comments, ("It wasn't very nice of Jerry to say that.") Pat has been backpedaling for all he's worth trying to deny he ever said such a thing.

Unfortunately for Pat, that's tough to do in these days of VCRs and other recording devices.

On Monday's telecast of his Christian Broadcasting Network show "The 700 Club," Robertson had said: "You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war, and I don't think any oil shipments will stop."

On Wednesday, he initially denied having called for Chavez to be killed and said The Associated Press had misinterpreted his remarks.

"I didn't say 'assassination.' I said our special forces should 'take him out,'" Robertson said on his show. "'Take him out' could be a number of things including kidnapping."

Lying's a sin, isn't it? Sounds like Pat's gonna have some 'splainin' to do when Jesus finally calls his lying ass home.
