Rudy's certainly stupid enough to be President

"How is it that we have the best higher education in the world and a weaker K-through-12 system?" Giuliani said. "What's the difference? Why does one operate so well and the other not nearly as well?"

Gee, I dunno, Rudy. Ya think maybe the fact that higher education gets the same kind of government subsidies as public K-through-12 schools AND are allowed to charge students for attending might have something to do with it?

Actually, I think that it is because college-level courses require a higher level of education for the TEACHERS, they pay better salaries (not much better if it's a state college, but still), and they have a faster track to tenure and are less likely to be pilloried or burned at the stake by bible-banging, frothing-at-the-mouth CONFORM TO OUR CULT OR DIE morons (parents AND on the school boards). The teachers in universities have far more leeway in the concentration of their courses, they have more authority over the texts required (and don't have to wait 17 years to get new texts), and they can actually TEACH THE SUBJECTS, instead of TEACHING TO THOSE BULLSHIT FUCKING LEAP TESTS that have absofuckinglutely NOTHING to do with ACTUAL FUCKING EDUCATION!!!!!!

Get rid of "No Child's Behind Left" and all of the other corrupt "privitization" bullshit that these whores have institutionalized in our government, and THE SHIT MIGHT ACTUALLY FUCKING WORK AGAIN!!!!!!

You might want to ask Ward Churchill whether college teachers are less subject to being hassled by morons. I imagine he could provide some interesting insights.
